Once again, we were able to meet and discuss relevant issues of the industry after a prolonged forced break. The organizers of the event did their best to preserve the traditions of Petrocem that have been established for more than 20 years: unique style, relevant topics of thoroughly selected presentations, special professional atmosphere, and hospitality.
“Petrocem -2023” gathered about 450 delegates representing over 250 companies and organizations from 23 countries, including 80 cement plants and holdings from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Turkey and other countries.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; industry experts; trade, engineering and logistics companies; equipment, materials and service providers attended the conference.
The conference brought together both long-time participants and many newcomers to Petrocem. The excellent level of representation provided a good platform for many productive negotiations.
To ensure the execution of ambitious development projects in the Russian construction sector, it is necessary to increase the production of high-quality cement, which includes the construction of new enterprises and technological lines, as well as the upgrading of existing ones. Cement companies have to improve the energy and resource efficiency, reliability of equipment operation parameters, environmental friendliness of production; develop new supply and sales arrangements; master digital technologies; expand the product range and thoroughly monitor the quality of produced cement. The conference presentations addressed the issues related to the solution of these and other challenges.
The session devoted to the use of alternative fuel in the cement industry was of particular interest to the participants. The panel discussion on sustainability of modern automated production in current conditions was a novelty for Petrocem.
The Astoria Hotel traditionally hosted the conference, and provided an exhibition featuring the latest technical achievements and services of 54 companies.
A gala dinner, accompanied by a performance of outstanding artists, was the highlight of the event.
